Level 1 Umpire Theory Test

Level 1 Umpire Theory Test

Once you have successfully completed the online theory test, you will be have sufficient knowledge of the rules to attend the Level 2 umpiring course. There you will learn how to apply the rules, manage a game, recognise the fouls, correctly set up free positions and more.

This is an open book test, so you can refer to the rules book to help you with a question that you might be stuck on.

Before starting the test you should read through the current rules book so that you have an understanding of the rules*. All questions must be answered. If you are unsuccessful you can re-try the test, but only 3 attempts are possible in a single day - if you need more attempts then you should have a good read of the rules book before trying again.

Good luck with the test.

*Do not worry about the Manufacturer's Specification section - you will not be tested on this.
