Armchair Umpire

We all want to play rather than umpire so sometimes getting time to view lacrosse through the eyes of an umpire is not easy. While watching videos is not the same as actually being there it gives umpires the opportunity to look at something again and again and get used to identifying what is and is not a foul. Here are a few videos to whet your appetite. If you have game footage that you would like to share on this site, please get in touch .

If you are sharing footage, please ensure that the people you have been filming are happy for the footage to be viewable online.

These clips will help you to recognise fouls and non-fouls but don’t get hung up on “is that the right call?”. These are USA games, not played to FIL rules, but are still valuable for armchair umpiring.
