Preliminary Umpiring Course details

Please read the Umpiring Course Information & Response document which provides details about the course e.g. timings, what you need to do in preparation and what you need to bring with you to the course. Please reply by Wednesday 10th October 2012.

Theory Test

Before you attend the umpiring course you need to complete and return the Preliminary Umpire Theory Test by e-mail. This open book test forms part of your P Umpire qualification, and it will help tremendously if you have a basic knowledge of the rules before you come to the course.

At the course you will be shown how to apply the rules, how to recognise fouls and learn about the mechanics of umpiring. It will be a lot of fun and will give you the opportunity to de-mystify the rules into something you can visualise and put into practice (as a player or umpire).
