Common Field Markings

Links to the diagrams of the Common Field Markings are shown below. It looks complicated, but the various sections are there to help you if you do not have a pitch that can be marked using the Unified field pitch markings.

The Goal circle and 15m area markings are unchanged.

Choose the section that matches your venue.

  • To put women’s markings on your field hockey pitch, follow diagram 4.
  • If your pitch is the right length (110m) but is narrower than 60m, follow diagram 7.
  • If your pitch is the right width (60m) but is shorter than 110m, follow diagram 8.

Note that team bench area markings are not required for club matches, but are required for international matches.
