The new rule for the GK crosse is as follows;
The mesh pocket of the Goalkeeper’s crosse may be any solid colour except the colour of the event or game ball
The approved ball colour is YELLOW, so unless the GK has yellow mesh, her stick will meet this rule.
Please note that this rule has been communicated from FIL (Federation of International Lacrosse) and will apply at FIL events.
For domestic play in Scotland please do not stop a GK from playing if they have the same coloured mesh as the match ball, but encourage them to get their mesh changed asap. Please make sure that all your players are aware of this rule especially any GK who plays representative lacrosse.
